Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. It was very close to the main bus stops, the receptionist was very nice and tried to help with finding a job, had private bathroom in the room and large shared kitchens/lounges, while there were even shelves for the top beds to use without having to get down first.

Located on a quiet street opposite Blake Park, Seagulls Guesthouse offers free fibre WiFi and is a 5-minute walk from Mount Maunganui Beach. amazing! Paul is such a nice guy! very clean and relaxed

Located in Mount Maunganui, Pacific Coast Lodge and Backpackers is an award-winning hostel, located at 500 metres from the beach and next to Blake park. Comfortable and clean. All the staff is very kind and willing to help, Mike is a great person 👍

The centrally located Rock Solid Backpackers Rotorua offers free WiFi, a neighboring rock-climbing wall and a spacious guest lounge including a tour desk, a billiards table and a cinema. The facilities are great, spacious, and clean, the rooms are comfy, and the staff is amazing, just make us feel at home! (even though I got there to check in 5 minutes before they close, sorry guys 😬) And Thank you all :)

Ubytovanie Stay Hostel Rotorua sa nachádza v destinácii Rotorua 4,3 km od miesta Medzinárodný štadión Rotorua a 11 km od miesta Paradise Valley Springs. The lady at check in was very nice and friendly. Bathrooms and showers were very private and clean. Everything was small but enough room to be comfortable. Extremely fast and reliable WIFI.

Featuring a garden and a shared lounge, Rotorua Central Backpackers is set in Rotorua. Free WiFi is provided. Rotorua is 700 metres from the hostel, while Papamoa is 49 km from the property. The kitchen was great....but they had homeless living there and that made it not so gooood. I would have said this was soooo great if I had not had to share a room with a homeless person that snored and covid cough all night. The location is amazing, the staff was WONDERFUL, the place was clean and I loved the PINK bathroom. BUt sadly NZ is NOT ready for tourism the tourist info closed indefinatley and nobody know whats happening or who to get anywhere, using the bus was a NIGHTMARE....

Rotorua Downtown Backpackers is a modern hostel is located in the heart of Rotorua across the road from the I-Site and major bus lines. The staff was super friendly and willing to help us any time. We felt really comfortable and everything was very well organized. I love that they explained how the hostel works when we arrived. And the kitchen and toilets always super clean and tidy.

Mount Backpackers is a 2-minute walk from Mount Maunganui Beach and a 10-minute drive from Tauranga Airport. It offers affordable accommodation with free Wi-Fi, BBQ facilities and a shared kitchen. The location is amazing close to the beach the mount the pools The managers really nice helpful people Nice to have bikes Thanks a lot!!!

Haka House Rotorua is located next to Kuirau Park which features geothermal activity. I have stayed in many hostels in New Zealand is a cut above the rest! Well designed, very clean, modern community area and facilities, felt secure and had great service. Good location. Just a beautifully designed and well maintained accomodation!
