Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. It was very close to the main bus stops, the receptionist was very nice and tried to help with finding a job, had private bathroom in the room and large shared kitchens/lounges, while there were even shelves for the top beds to use without having to get down first.

The facilities are great, spacious, and clean, the rooms are comfy, and the staff is amazing, just make us feel at home! Haka House Rotorua is located next to Kuirau Park which features geothermal activity. The privacy curtains were great, and the beds were cozy. There have two lockers for each person. The kitchen is open late, and their setup makes cleanup easy.
