The common areas, such as the inner courtyard garden, are very inviting and adapted to facilitate socialising and getting to know your fellow travellers. A very nice detail is that already upon your arrival your name is hand-written on a little blackboard next to your bed, which makes you feel even more welcome and which makes the contact with your room mates easier. The staff are friendly and helpful, for example to book some activity in Taupo.

Set in Turangi, 48 km from Mount Ruapehu, Tongariro River Retreat offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. All the common areas were very well! The man at the reception it's very kind!
