We stayed in a private room with connected bathroom and it was much bigger than we were expecting. Probably just a bit bigger than a standard hotel room but for the price I was really surprised to have so much space and a nice bathroom. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with plenty of street parking, and the grounds were lush with grass and flowers when we visited in spring. We had a late check in and the keys were waiting for us in an envelope at the reception area so it was super easy to check in, and there's a key drop box so check out is easy as well. We didn't have a chance to use the kitchen but the facilities looked nice.

Lakes Edge Lodge is just a 3-minute drive from Lake Tekapo town centre. A free shuttle service is available to and from Lake Tekapo bus terminal. Loved the common area. Lots of TA walkers. Amazing view on the lake.

See 30 000 aakri suurune Merino jaam asub Ahuriri jõe ääres, Omarama kesklinnast 15-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel. It’s the best deal you’ll find anywhere. Very basic and rustic but Comfortable and clean and does the job. Excellent wifi connection despite being in the middle of nowhere. A great hopping off point for day trips to lakes. Amazing star gazing at night!
