Finlay Jack's Backpackers offers an ideal location in Taupo. The hostel offers single bed dormitory's. Finlay Jack's Backpackers is one of my favourite hostels ever. The common areas, such as the inner courtyard garden, are very inviting and adapted to facilitate socialising and getting to know your fellow travellers. A very nice detail is that already upon your arrival your name is hand-written on a little blackboard next to your bed, which makes you feel even more welcome and which makes the contact with your room mates easier. The staff are friendly and helpful, for example to book some activity in Taupo.

Great property - the cabins were much more cost and comfortable than I thought they might be! Facilities were clean and close to the cabins as well.
