A centrally located, beautiful riverside studio apartment, just a stone’s throw from all the sights of historic York. The Cocoa Suites are perfectly positioned within the recently renovated Rowntree Wharf warehouse, one of York’s most iconic buildings, having been used by the Rowntree family to store cocoa beans until the 1960s. The suite’s location is perfect for anyone wanting to experience all that York has to offer; minutes walk away from the minster, the station and many attractions.
I’ve lived in York for over twenty years and am so excited to be helping others enjoy and explore this beautiful city. I love giving recommendations for how you can make the most of your stay here. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
The location is amazing! Walk over either of the footbridges and turn left. Follow your nose and you’ll arrive in the centre of York. Fossgate is just around the corner and has loads of great cafes, bars and restaurants. You’re also really close to Morrison’s, Waitrose, Greggs and Starbucks - they’re all just at the end of Navigation Road where you drive in. It should be clear from maps how close you are to the famous Shambles (Harry Potter-esque). If you walk up the Shambles, you’ll spot the towers of York Minster ahead of you. Everything is an easy walking distance. Getting around York just means walking really. The apartment is a pretty easy walk from the train station (about 20 minutes). There’s also a bus station on Rougier Street, just round the corner from the train station. From the flat, everything is close-by.
