Beautiful location, comfortable accommodations and the family we stayed with was amazing. They were able to organize everything for us. Completely hassle free, comfortable, and affordable. Our hostess prepared a fresh fish lunch for us on our second day. We arrived a little too late on the first day so they boated us to a nearby restaurant which also had great food. Dinner was served on site and was fresh and delicious. They also organized a private boat tour of the local islands at a fraction of the cost. Can't say enough about this place. Felt completely at home. Highly recommended!

I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

We liked the blankets very much, they keep you warm during the night, of course with the help of Carlos that brings some hot bottles of water to put on your feet. The terrace and the view from the room are amazing, at sunset especially the colours of the lake are surreal. The food was also very good! Considering the kitchen they have, they made magic of it. We had a trip around the community with the host, Carlos, which we enjoyed a lot.

Idillic and romantic place in the middle of the peaceful titicaca lake. Cesar and Lucy were extremely nice and caring and always ready to make us feel home. We fell in love with the whole experience. What Ivan and his family have built is truly amazing: from the comfortable rooms with bio toilets and hot water shower, the super nice sun (and star gazing) decks with hammocks and sunbeds, to the spacious lobby and dining area. On top of that, Ivan and his family are super nice and attentive hosts, and listening to their stories was a true highlight of our stay. Please be aware that they’re literally sharing their home and their resources with you. A home that requires a lot of maintenance and constant care, and resources that are definitely not as easy to acquire as the centralized electricity and drinkable tap water that some of us are accustomed to. That deserves immense respect and consideration. This island is quite far from the more touristy part of the Puno side of the Titicaca lake (about 15 mins by boat). This means that you’ll really get to experience how these communities live, as well as the silence and beautiful nature around you. However, this also means that you have to come very well prepared and dress accordingly, as the boat ride will be chilly - although blankets are provided on the boat to keep you warm - but also breathtakingly beautiful. I have never written such a long review and there’s really so much more I would like to say about this magicalw place but if there is one thing I’d like all future visitors of Uros Titicaca Lodge to know is this: this i s their home, and their way of life, which they hold dear above all else. So be kind. And dress properly ;)

I think it was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in! There are 3 houses on a floating island, owned by a father and a son. They are extremely nice people! The price is ridiculously small for what they offer. The view from the huge windows of the house is amazing, and so is the stay on the floating terrace.
