Friendly and polite staff, very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious dishes at affordable prices. It is the perfect place to relax for the weekend. The Guandi Family Temple is only a 10min walk from the property, very easy to reach and totally worth the visit. As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

The hotel is located in the old city centre of Pingyao, and it is an old building in Chinese style. When we arrived, we had a warm welcome with a cup of tea. The staff is really friendly, and they speak English very well. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a hotel with greater hospitality! The staff helped us with tickets for several attractions in the old city. We really recommend to stay at this hotel!

Pingyao Yide har til huse i en traditionel indre gårdhave med 300 års historie og tilbyder værelser i kinesisk stil med håndlavede træmøbler og kunstværker. Yide Hotel was incredibly beautiful and serene! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I emailed across my arrival train and they arranged (for a very small sum!) for me to be picked up- the same on the way back to Pingyaogucheng, which was immensely helpful. On the day I arrived I happened to get an upgrade on my room- can't be guaranteed, but was great. The breakfast was delicious- I had a lovely tea, scrambled eggs and toast. There were many more options and it was unlimited in how much you had! They gave me a useful map and talked me through the top sites to see. Overall a brilliant stay.

As it was winter, the place was generally quiet. However, the walls are thin and you could hear the noises from the corridor. Rooms were clean and cosy. Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Great place!
