Friendly and polite staff, very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious dishes at affordable prices. It is the perfect place to relax for the weekend. The Guandi Family Temple is only a 10min walk from the property, very easy to reach and totally worth the visit. As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

Caratterizzato da una struttura architettonica ben conservata e da un servizio attento ai dettagli, il Jing's Residence è un gioiello nascosto nell'antica città murata di Ping Yao, Patrimonio... Tutto! Staff eccezionale, struttura bellissima... sono stati così gentili da offrirci un upgrade gratuito della camera. La colazione è meravigliosa, abbiano assaggiato sia cinese che occidentale e siamo rimasti soddisfatti di entrambe... inoltre c'è un menù da cui scegliere, decisamente meglio delle colazioni a buffet!La posizione è estremamente comoda per raggiungere la strada principale di Pingyao dentro le mura. Ci hanno lasciato anche dei piccoli regali e della frutta in camera, molto apprezzati! Consiglio assolutamente di regalarvi una coccola in questo hotel gioiello dentro una città gioiello!

We had the pleasure of staying in both the room in the main courtyard and the Yaodong room. Each room was spacious, featuring super large, comfortable beds that ensured a restful night's sleep. The cleanliness and service at the hostel were impeccable. Every area was maintained spotlessly. The staff were warm and always eager to assist, making us feel truly welcomed. I highly recommend this hostel, particularly in the winter. Its perfect blend of historical elegance, modern comfort, and the added beauty of snow make it an unparalleled choice. Looking forward to my next visit!

This hotel is inside the ancient city, it is convenient to explore the city. Fast check in and out Pleasant staff Hotel is not crowded. I only saw one guest throughout my one day stay The next day, I got up early and I was able to walk the entire city (no crowds) I felt very safe The hotel does not have a restaurant, however one is not needed; there are numerous restaurants in the city. I ordered from Meituan. Breakfast the next day was simple but more than enough for me: toast, jelly, fried egg and bacon. There are also numerous options for breakfast in the city. I enjoyed my stay very much, will definitely stay again. Tours that you can take: Wang’s Courtyard is 30 minutes by car and Zhangby’s Fortress is about 30 minutes from Wang’s Courtyard. Traveling tips: To get to Pingyao by train: Beijing to Pingyao: only a few times per day (This is the best option if you are coming from Beijing) Otherwise: Beijing to Pingyao or Shanghai to Pingyao Air China Taiyuan to Pingyao: Rake the fast train that is ~ 30-40 minutes. Business class is 56 rmb Coming back to Beijing (If you miss direct train to Beijing) -Pingyao rail station to Taiyuan South. ( Do not get off on Taiyuan station, you must to go Taiyuan South) I got off the wrong station and had to take a taxi to Taiyuan South which is about 15 minutes with light traffic Taiyuan South to Beijing: 3 hours by fast train.
