Some works and finetuning is still ongoing, the new owners opened just a month ago.(05/2023) The breakfast was very good and rich with local food. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

All the area belonging to the hotel was very clean and perfect. The food at the restaurant was delicious with a great price/quality ratio. Free parking availlble. Free wifi.

La Maison de Mathilde is set in Bayeux, 100 metres from Baron Gerard Museum and 200 metres from Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry. The room was lovely and clean. For breakfast, there was coffee, juice, breads, yogurts, and American offerings like bacon and eggs. The location is near the cathedral, tour pick-ups, and many restaurants. We walked from the train station but taxis are available. Bayeux is a must-see. Don't miss the famous tapestry.
