Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Located on a lake,within a forest. Hot tubs next to the lake with sunset views. Very good service,breakfast and dinner.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Everything was good. Room was clean and spacious. Very tasty breakfast, compared to other places there were also warm options, which is rather not standard in Iceland. Very nice breakfast staff. We liked the bar where you can buy some beer or wine. The hotel is situated in a nice spot by the lake, but also not far from everything. The bathroom is equipped with organic hair and body cleansing cosmetics of the very good Icelandic brand Sóley Organics, which we like very much. There is also a restaurant in the facility, unfortunately we spent whole days on our trips, so in none of the two days we were able to try their specialties, but maybe next time we will do it. There is also a spa, but here is the same as for the restaurant, we cannot comment, our plan was very tight. However, there is such an option.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Awesome place. Nice restaurant, good location visiting the east coast. We got a small cottage with kitchenette. Beautiful place.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. Staff was very helpful. They went above and beyond. Had a great stay!

Hotel Eskifjörður is located in Eskifjörður. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. You can enjoy mountain view from the room. Breakfast was good. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the food! The rooms were spacious and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find a good restaurant on town. We recommend this hotel.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. Excellent, the staff amazing. They make a cake for my husband, so lovely.

Set in Seydisfjördur village, this accommodation offers rooms with free WiFi. Egilsstadir village is 28 km away. The property also offers on-site free parking. a nice historical place to stay in this town, strongly recommend this place. We happened to be in a storm when we arrived, and the staff were very nice and instructed clearly about our room, and where to eat, and was very helpful. The room was inside a historical building just next to the blue church! The room was just as shown on booking.com, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Breakfast at the local gas station is strongly advised!!!!!
