Just a 5-minute walk from Miyajima Guchi Station, Miyajima Coral Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms and self-service laundry facilities. Hotel Coral is not on Miyajima Island, but it is literally right next to the ferry to and from the island. We didn't expect much after reading some reviews complaining about how old the hotel is, but we were pleasantly surprised and loved our Double with Sea View. I was expecting a small double bed but was so happy to see it was a king size bed. I requested a high floor and received it and the panoramic view of Miyajima Island was wonderful. The room was spacious and clean with two sitting chairs and table by the window. The bathroom had all new fixtures and the soaking tub has heavenly each night. The Western bed was firm but comfortable. Hotel Coral was very generous with their complimentary amenities, the best selection of items in all the places we stayed in our 5 week trip to Japan. The amenities bar in the lobby was extensive and included items I've never seen offered for free including tea without caffeine (roobois), scented bath salts, olive oil based facial wash and moisturizer, candy, and a choice of additional types of pillows as available such as memory foam. It was also nice to have bottled water replenished daily, as well as new sets of yukata and towels. We opted for the eco cleaning and received a nice voucher to use in the restaurant or gift shop, but you can also opt for daily cleaning. The included breakfast held many choices and was replenished regularly. Housemade tofu, pillowy French toast rolls and ultra moist carrot cake were favorites. A variety of breads and croissants and more. The ferry to Miyajima is right across the street and the ease of using the ferry earlier in the morning or later in the day was key to avoiding the insane crowds that descend on the island to flock to the Itsukushima Torii gate.

Located on Miyajima (Itsukushima), Miyajima Guest House Mikuniya offers a Japanese-style accommodation and a small garden. Free Wi-Fi is available. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 20-minute walk away. Wow - if you are coming to Miyajima, absolutely stay here! The guesthouse is large and spacious, with plenty of shared communal space downstairs. When we walked into our room, we were amazed - an incredible view over the rooftops of the town, right out onto the sea. Two chairs were thoughtfully provided right next to the window. This view really makes it worth coming to the guesthouse. Additionally, simple breakfasts and dinners are now included in the price of the night, which is very thoughtful on the part of the owner, as it’s hard (read nearly impossible) to find restaurants open on Miyajima at night. The guesthouse is just down the hill from a fantastic hike, so a great starting point for your trip. We also appreciated the private onsen (included in the price), and the nice handmade crafts in the lobby, available for purchase as souvenirs.

Miyajima
Situated in Miyajima, 2.5 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and 400 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, HEM'S HOTEL 1日1組限定 new features spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The property is a traditional Japanese house, typical of the Miyajima region. Beautifully preserved and with contemporary furniture that they managed to combine in an extraordinary way. The house is very small, so it has only one room, this makes you practically rented not a room, but the house complete with your own Japanese interior garden, its doors of Japanese paper, by the way very beautiful. They place incense, which gives it a very pleasant atmosphere. An extraordinary experience to rest in a Ryokan in a magical destination. Kousu Ke takes care of the property and was an extraordinary person, kind and very helpful. He solved a problem for me with the shipment of a package that he had lost at a destination prior to our arrival, and made sure I received it at my next destination. There cannot be a better host. The location is unbeatable, a couple of blocks from the main street. Walking to the bay took you through the little streets of traditional houses, and you could see the residents going about their daily lives.

The owners/staff were super friendly and welcoming! They were always happy to help however they could, and gave some great recommendations for restaurants nearby! The room was so lovely with the traditional Japanese-style theme and comfortable futons. The breakfast was also good for the price and the location was great, very close to the ferry station, and not a far walk to some of the beautiful parts of Miyajima Island, such as the Otorii gate and the shrine!
Miyajima
Great Tradiational Japanese hotel, breakfast, and dinner included with the stay which is great om Miyajima Island, the food was truly amazing. Overall a great stay with great staff and gives you an opportunity to explore Miyajama Island after the tourist have left in the evening. There is also a shuttle service that takes you from the ferry station to the hotel. Hotels are also right outside the the Aquarium which was pretty cool.
Miyajima
We were absolutely amazed by this traditional and well done house on Miyajima Island. It was the most peaceful place we stayed during our two weeks in Japan. I sincerely wish we could have stayed longer. Every detail added to the comfort and beauty of the place. It was spotlessly clean. The host showed us around upon arrival and made us feel so welcome. THANK YOU for one of the most memorable experiences of our holiday.
Miyajima
Great ryokan in Miyajima, with a proper onsen. Welcoming staff, surprisingly spacious rooms, and great food. Dinner was sensational, with the restaurant staff happy to recommend some local sakes (we loved the Misen), and the Japanese breakfast was a treat. They offer transportation form the pier, but Miyajima is small, so I recommend you get there by taking a leisurely stroll through the market stalls.
Miyajima
Located in serene and quiet location on Miyajima! surrounded by lush forest. Rooms felt like traditional Japanese ryokan. Was clean and staff were friendly. There is shuttle bus that can pick you up from the Miyajima station (had to use the pay phone to contact them which was easy). Onsen is public but was not crowded. Close walk to Itsukushima shrine as well as cable car up to top of mountain.
Miyajima
Excellent hotel, very good quality dinner prepared by Chef Aiko Yamanaka. The staff is super attentive and very friendly. The onsen is great with one outside overlooking the O-Torii. Super recommended, if you plan to visit Miyajima be sure to book at least one night in this Hotel, you will never regret it. My congratulations to all the hotel staff. I fell in love with everything!!!
Miyajima
The hotel is in an excellent location, quiet, amazing views, but within the town. The room was large by Japanese standards, with very comfortable futon beds. Bathroom was good. Staff were very kind and helpful. Food was outstanding and varied. Van shuttle from and to the ferry was prompt and welcome. We would definitely stay here again in Miyajima.
Miyajima
The location was just a couple of minutes walk from the ferry terminal and walking distance to all attractions in Miyajima. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The hosts were lovely people and made our stay so enjoyable! The meals were over the top - the best traditional Japanese cuisine that we have had while visiting Japan.
Hotel staff Ms. Sakura was very helpful to suggest places to eat. The dinner and breakfast was good and also a choice of western or Japanese breakfast was nice. Hotel stored our bags on check out day, as we want to try the ropeway to the mountain on Miyajima and when we returned after lunch provided free transfer to ferry terminal.
Miyajima
The staff were lovely, attentive and very accommodating. Provided meals were excellent and the food was plentiful. Futon were comfortable and the room was quite nice. Across the road from Miyajima Aquarium. Itsukushima Shrine is very close so it's a great location for accessing the shrine away from peak crowds.
Miyajima
This is a first rate ryokan located in the heart of Miyajima. They definitely know how to take care of their guests. We stayed in a western styled room with its own Japanese ofuro (bath) that had a wonderful view. They also have a restaurant the serves outstanding fried oysters and other Japanese cuisine.
Miyajima
Host met us at the door was kind and very helpful with information about the island and getting around Miyajima. Home is a beautiful Japanese home and located perfectly away from the hustle in town but, close enough to be convienent. Host provides hot water, tea and coffee, bottled water.
Miyajima
The staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly and the location was great. Miyajima was a wonderful place to visit. We had a Japanese room on the top floor 6 and could even see the Otorii and pagoda when standing. For size it was probably one of the largest bedrooms of our Japan trip.
Great location that is easily walkable to the main attractions on Miyajima. The managers were very responsive and let us leave our luggage in the room early so we didn't have to keep them with us until check in. Apartment was very nice and had everything we needed.
Miyajima
We loved the experience at the Miyajima Seaside Hotel . The staff were amazing and very accommodating. I do not eat a lot of fish, and the staff swapped the menu around to include more meat for me. We found the futons to be comfortable, and the onsen was good
The Hotel is literally next to the train and ferry station. Our room had a wonderful view of Miyajima. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice.
Miyajima
Very friendly and welcoming landlady. Traditional bathroom and Japanese breakfast available. On a quite street close to the main shopping area in Miyajima.

Very kind and friendly owners. They gave a lot of information about Miyajima and others parts of Japan.
Large traditional Japanese hotel, nice Onsen, great view opposite Miyajima island.
