New spacious room with modern bathroom and lovely private patio; excellent pool to cool off after morning safari or before evening one; very friendly and helpful manager who was always smiling and sharing info about elephants with us over meals; very good food (really liked the rice and curry!) which we weren’t necessarily expecting from a hotel restaurant. And the best part: seeing elephants across the road in park during breakfast l!! Side note: be careful about where you book in this area. The hotel we originally booked canceled on us day of when they found out we’d booked a safari through someone else (not them). We were lucky to find this current hotel who said it was our decision to book safari with them or not (although I’m sure their safaris are good too!).

Beautiful bedroom with nice balcony. All super clean. Milan is very friendly and helpfull. The food is delicious. All in all 10/10!

Vimanra hotel is by far one of the most beautiful places you can find in udawalawe. Its a small family-run hotel located in a lush and green forest, next to a lake. It was amazing to wake up to the sound of birds and taking a dip in the (very clean) swimming pool. The garden is full of plants and fruit trees such as mangos, papayas and pineapple. There's even a small lake filled with fish. The owners are very very kind and helpful. They booked a safari for us and even made us a very, very good dinner on the day that all shops and restaurants were closed. You'll feel immediately at home and at peace in this place. The family room is huge and the bathroom is very big! Shower and toilet are separated which is very convenient for a group of 3 or 4. If you've been in busy Kandy or galle, then this is the perfect place to calm down and enjoy the beautiful lush nature of Sri Lanka . And not to forget: the beds were very comfy and the rooms have airconditioning

Beautiful tranquil location. The lodge is excellent, the rooms some of the best I had in Sri Lanka, the pool is nice and warm and perfect for a dip after a long day of Safari. The staff is excellent and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The lodge also organized my private Safari, my guide and driver Nandu was excellent. I actually liked my Udawalawe Safari better than the one I did in Yala. It is less busy and except Leopards I saw more in Udawalawe than in Yala.

Situated in Udawalawe, 14 km from Udawalawe National Park, Wild Life Safari Bungalow features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this accommodation! The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to assist with anything we needed. The safari they organized was impressive and the jungle garden with its beautiful flowers, plants and fruits especially delighted the children who got to try some fruits. The air conditioning worked well and it was the only place we stayed in Sri Lanka with continuous hot water for showering. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Udavala!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at OwinRich during my trip to Godakawela, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the sight of a beautiful outdoor pool, inviting me to unwind and relax. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally comfortable, providing the ideal retreat after a long day of exploration. But what truly stood out was the attention to detail and the incredible value for money. The price I paid was an absolute steal considering the quality of service and amenities offered. One of the highlights of my stay was witnessing the sheer joy on my kids' faces as they splashed around in the pool and explored the hotel grounds. A great area in front of the beautiful river. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

The rooms were comfortable, the food reasonably priced and delicious, and the pool was perfect for relaxing. The highlight was the safari tour arranged by the resort at a great price – an unforgettable experience.

The air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was the only place we stayed in Sri Lanka with consistent hot water for showering.
