We loved everything about this hotel!! New spacious room with modern bathroom and lovely private patio; excellent pool to cool off after morning safari or before evening one; very friendly and helpful manager who was always smiling and sharing info about elephants with us over meals; very good food (really liked the rice and curry!) which we weren’t necessarily expecting from a hotel restaurant. And the best part: seeing elephants across the road in park during breakfast l!! Side note: be careful about where you book in this area. The hotel we originally booked canceled on us day of when they found out we’d booked a safari through someone else (not them). We were lucky to find this current hotel who said it was our decision to book safari with them or not (although I’m sure their safaris are good too!).

The safari available by them was amazing, our driver was impeccable, it’s concern was showing us every wild life and we were able to see the elephants closer. the facilities were new and with an amazing view. for sure will go back. We had the opportunity to spend their new year’s with them , and that is an experience we will take forever.

Bem desenhado e bonito! Todo o espaço exterior jardim, piscina, rio, pátio, zona de refeições estava perfeito. Parece um pequeno paraíso no meio da selva. O melhor pequeno-almoço almoço do Sri Lanka, após 5 dias de viagem. O dono prontamente tratou de arranjar Jeep para o Safari no dia seguinte, excelente o condutor pois conseguimos ver vários grupos de elefantes e estar ao pé deles a apreciar, tirar fotos, etc. o Dono as 5:30am estava também acordado à espera de nós e do Jeep para o Safari.

Beautiful tranquil location. The lodge is excellent, the rooms some of the best I had in Sri Lanka, the pool is nice and warm and perfect for a dip after a long day of Safari. The staff is excellent and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The lodge also organized my private Safari, my guide and driver Nandu was excellent. I actually liked my Udawalawe Safari better than the one I did in Yala. It is less busy and except Leopards I saw more in Udawalawe than in Yala.

Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or solo, this hotel offers everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

A great area in front of the beautiful river. Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

It was a great stay at Lily Resort Udawalawe. They have nice clean room and poolside. Staff are friendly and breakfast is very good. They arrange us reasonable safari tour with snacks to enjoy during our safari. Safari tour guide well knowledge. He gave us superb experience.

Breakfast was delicious and the owner kindly cooked our evening meals which were lovely. Organised us a safari which was brilliant. 5 minute tuk tuk to the elephant transit home. Swimming pool was great for a cool off. Both room and bathroom were good.
