The host provided us with a guide for hiking the india dormida, they informed us about the local situation regarding road blocks and fuelling the car and even when we forgot some shoes they phoned us.

Just one block off of the main strip in El Valle, it’s lovely and much quieter, but still walking distance to the butterfly sanctuary, the geothermal springs, and the downtown restaurants and shops. Cute little pool in the back, hammocks all over, and a yard that has a bunch of spots to sit and chill or order food/drinks- it was a fantastic place to stay!

Jason, a local guy was available for all kinds of information, about trails, local transport and was very helpfull with technical issues with our SIM card. On the last day of our stay in El Valle, we ended up hinking La Silla to see the sunset with Bret and Jason, which was great.

Staff was vigilant to any needs, and was quick to open the parking lot security gate even at 4 AM to let us out to do a hike in darkness up to the volcano rim.

Tony's attention was excellent, he offered to upgrade our room to a nicer space so we were more than confortable there. Dinner at the restaurant with them was really nice, Tony played some music , food was delicious. Our evening could not have been better there! And of course, the breakfast had everything we could have asked for, delicious.
