We travel regularly between Guatemala City and Tegucigalpa for work and love to stay here to break the journey. It’s a very central location, right on the square with food stalls at the weekends. We happily leave our car outside on the road as it feels very safe there. The beds are comfortable and the staff lovely and friendly.

I can comfortably say you will absolutely love your stay there. Las Casitas Hostal-Ataco is a must go in my opinion.
