The suit we stayed at was traditional Japanese and we had a private onsen just for us 2 on request. It was magical experience. The owner shared with us his fruits from his garden. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. We got hot spring water outdoor footbath and indoor bath. The kitchen is well-equipped with complete appliances. Our bedroom is comfortable with hot, cold, and dry air conditioner. Overall, the place is neat and clean. We easily went to Mount Omuro, izu shaboten zoo, and lake ippeki as day trip from the place. It is located 2 minutes walk from the Usami train station.

Hotel New Akao is a 10-minute ride from JR Atami Train Station, and a free shuttle is offered. Great food, excellent hot springs, and wonderfully staff members!

Room was very big, staff was so lovely and helpful, onsen on site was nice. Bike renting feature was cool. Loved that hotel!

Onsen was amazing! 1 rooftop smaller pool + 1 bigger double pool, both in the main hotel. Then the annex building separate onsen was amazing (one open air large onsen pool with views of the bay, and 1 inside pool with sauna and various mineral baths). (free for guests and can use during the day after your checkout too)

Tsumagoi Resort Sai no Sato offers accommodation in Kakegawa. The resort has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. It was raining when we arrived and someone walked us in with an umbrella.
