He gave us a ride to the 7 waterfalls as well he gave us a ride back to the train station because it was pouring rain on the day of our departure. The suit we stayed at was traditional Japanese and we had a private onsen just for us 2 on request. It was magical experience. The owner shared with us his fruits from his garden. Unique experience the best in Japan. We wish him all the very best and long and happy life.

The check in is very efficient with the help of the apps. The room is so clean, spacious, new and comfortable. Breakfast is exceptionally good for the price. Really thankful to the staff. Will recommend the guesthouse to friends wanting to visit Izu.

We had a really nice 4-days stay. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. We got hot spring water outdoor footbath and indoor bath. The kitchen is well-equipped with complete appliances. Our bedroom is comfortable with hot, cold, and dry air conditioner. Overall, the place is neat and clean. We easily went to Mount Omuro, izu shaboten zoo, and lake ippeki as day trip from the place. It is located 2 minutes walk from the Usami train station.

Hotel New Akao is a 10-minute ride from JR Atami Train Station, and a free shuttle is offered. Classic ‘seaside resort hotel’ - large and comfy, nestled into a natural park of sorts. Beautiful ocean view, two great Onsen options with complementary opening times. Restaurants were top rate and offered excellent choice. Staff were particularly attentive to my meat-free dietary choice. Original hotel built over ocean, modern amenities.

Amazing sea views of the bay from room (twin with Tatami). Easy to arrive via train to Izu Kogen then <10 min taxi (1200 yen). Onsen was amazing! 1 rooftop smaller pool + 1 bigger double pool, both in the main hotel. Then the annex building separate onsen was amazing (one open air large onsen pool with views of the bay, and 1 inside pool with sauna and various mineral baths). (free for guests and can use during the day after your checkout too)

Staff met us on arrival and it only got better. Best hotel we have stayed at in several years. Room was outstanding, staff was outstanding. Onsen was outstanding, food was outstanding

Situated in Higashiizu, Atagawa Ocean Resort features 4-star accommodation with private balconies. Spacious and clean rooms Onsen facilities were great Not too far off the train station

Tsumagoi Resort Sai no Sato offers accommodation in Kakegawa. The resort has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. It was raining when we arrived and someone walked us in with an umbrella.
