Only thing I would say I would say which is personal preference I guess would be that the pool temp was really high, like a warm bath would rather it be slightly lower but nonetheless we had the whole pool to ourselves for 3 hours on Friday night, amazing.

Amazing room, great service in thr restaurant and room service. Such a relaxing 24hrs and late chekc out will be coming back. Room was superior suite with balcony.

Breakfast service was extremely poor especially as we had paid extra for it. No coffee until we had pretty much finished and had to go and hunt down my own milk sugar and teaspoon, the help your self area was not replenished the whole time we were there meaning no pastry’s or juice. Husband asked for a full English breakfast and it came missing a sausage. I had eggs that were smothered in hollandaise so was hard to taste anything else. Room wasn’t very clean, found dead spiders and webs in the bathroom and litter left behind by previous guest in wardrobe. We had paid extra for a suit the only obvious difference I could see was a sofa, wasn’t really needed for a one night stay. View from room was basically a wall. Wouldn’t have been much better to have had a better view. Check in wasn’t very friendly, wasn’t given any information about facilities or where to go for breakfast. Had to ask once we had realised on our way out for dinner. Tried to call reception for a taxi and had no answer. Nobody available on check out to voice our disappointments to. The lobby area and restaurant were very nice. Felt like they focused all their attention on weddings which was made more apparent with the wedding shrine in the lobby

Reception person quite abrupt during booking and on check in. Room was spacious but furnishing shabby. Bed definitely needs upgrading!!! Attention to cleaning needs improving. Cobwebs and most surfaces need a good clean.

Smelt very stale and bedrooms quite dated, bed was not comfy and the room kettle was very dirty and full of limescale. Very overpriced but the location was nice.

I think the suite was expensive as it was very old dates furniture. All woodwork needed tepainting. Not seen sockets and switches that old in a long time . Bathroom floor tiles loooked very dirty . Bathroom pull light was hit and miss. The tv in lounge area was a tiny one i had a headache watching it . Shame because the bar area attached to hotel was modern and lovely

The food i had with room service was just lovely gorgeous sunday roast with separate hot gravy .the breakfast was fine too. The pool was good. Bar area was really nice

The hotel is more motel (from the 1980's) and seemed to be undertaking some much needed renovation work. The suite we booked, though of good size, was very dated; it was drab, felt cold and unwelcoming and had no ambience. The terrace, a selling point, was in fact a tiny balcony which had not been cleaned. The top of the dressing table, in the bedroom, was marked and stained and drawer knobs were missing. All the socket points were yellowed plastic - a good indication of when, if ever, the room has been updated. For a special occasion the establishment fell short of our expectations and so we left. Foxfields describes itself as a country house hotel but in our opinion it is catering for the lower end of the wedding venue market. Maybe we were naive - anybody can, afterall, write a glowing description of themselves.

The wifi was rubbish. i needed to join a business meeting for a couple of hours, they tried to help by moving rooms closer to reception, i got a new key and walked in on occupants 2 doors down. Then the same happened again. The room looked tired - broken tap, cracked wash hand basin, hard bed, old fashioned decor. Food was ok but very overpriced for dinner. We watched as a waitress cleaned the tables and service was called 3 times by the kitchen before either waitress moved - wrong priorities. The breakfast was good and efficiently delivered. There was an smell of chip fat in the inside cold corridor between the hotel and restaurant building.

Nice if you like the middle of nowhere. it had a large room with separate lounge. The swimming pool looked great in a separate building, but did not get to use it.

The bed was really uncomfortable - it's two singles pushed together to make a double so you fall down the gap in the middle, we had to keep getting up to push the beds back together. Steam room had tiles on the floor that had fallen off needs updating. Tv remote didn't work rang reception for another which they quickly brought to us but that didn't work either, reported this to reception the next morning but she didn't seem bothered.

The food & entertainment in the resteraunt was very good 👍 rooms are a good size

No heating in a very cold room. Switched room for a slightly warmer one. Then very noisy heating at 4.30am until 8.ooam, when heating went off!

very basic bedrooms/very out of date fixtures and fittings not comfy beds at all and big gap under door letting light in from hallway,bedding on that didn’t even fit bed correctly,completely not what you expect after the greeting in the reception area which was immaculate.

entrance/ reception/bar area/dining area all upto date really good/modern.
