We did not get the room we were promised - was supposed to be a 40m2 suite with a large bath/jacuzzi. We were first put into a 15m2 room with just a shower and were not told before we took our luggage up that they did not have what we paid for. We contacted the staff who initially said their system often causes this problem as the rooms are not listed correctly, that they do not have a room like what we bought, and that we could give up the room and get a refund - however we were tired, it was 6pm, and parking was not close by so we asked if they had something with a bath at least which they did have. That room was cca. 20m2 so still a lot less/smaller than what we'd booked but good enough vs the initial one and fine for a couple of nights' stay. Also, parking a 5 minute walk away so not the easiest to load/unload. Breakfast nice, location very good and lots of good eats and drinks downstairs. Staff friendly although they don't have much power to fix the systematic issues so I'd imagine they get a fair share of upset customers due to misallocations of rooms.

The staff there were able to find us a slightly better room, it did seem like they were trying their best but the hotel ownership don't care about the systematic issue around the wrong rooms being listed available/allocated. Still had no reply on that since.

No reception. By my arrival at the hotel, the car broke down on self check, I waited until one o'clock in the morning for a repairman, because no one could give out the keys. I was given the Wi-Fi password only on the third day of my stay. In the room, water from under a broken faucet flowed to my feet, and the light didn't turn off at all, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how the system works.

They were doing renovation and still renting out rooms, i did not pay to live in a construction zone. I did not get the room in booked either, i ordered a loft suite and got a regular room

I wrote my original review at 1am in the morning before I lost the draft. The rooms are above restaurant and bars and next to one of the loudest bars in the square. Every night music played until about 1:30am and on our last night the square had a stage put up for a live DJ set which attracted about 400-500 people. I don’t mind a little noise but this was excessive and it’s a lie in the advert if it says the rooms are soundproofed. I got lured by the nice decor and central location but would never stay here again even if paid to. (Photo is taken at the window view from our room)

We didn’t have a coffee machine in the room, but there was one in the lobby but I just couldn’t get it to work. I could only see coffee and sugar.

Area was nice, close to a few food shops + bars/pubs. So bare that in mind when booking because you can hear it.

We wanted to stay for 2 nights, but couldn’t sleep because the bar downstairs was playing music until 2:30. The second night there was a party outside the hotel which we were not informed about by the hotel upfront. We had to leave in the middle of the night as the situation was bit tolerable and sleeping simply not possible. All we got as response from the hotel was this: „As you can see in previous reviews, you can read that several people have suffered from noise nuisance. Unfortunately, this is not the best hotel for a quiet overnight stay, as the hotel is right in the center.“ What other purpose than a quite overnight stay does a hotel have? I recommend everyone to never book a night at this hotel!

The hotel staff called the day before our stay to let us know that there is no hot water available. They offered us 50% off to stay there with no hot water or a full refund. However, it was difficult to find accommodation at such a last minute, therefore we decided to stay. The hotel is connected to a restaurant/bar so you need to walk through there to get to the rooms which was bizarre. There was no proper reception and not much staff around. Although the few staff we did meet seemed friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate that the hot water didn’t work because the room was great - nice and clean and comfy big bed. Although limited facilities, like no mini fridge in the room. Location was good, as it was a 10 minute walk from the closest train station which gets you to the centre of Amsterdam quite quickly.

The room looks exactly like the pictures. Very nice, clean and modern.

It would have been good if there was a kettle in the bedroom rather than having to leave and go to the lobby area, but I also understand that may have made the space a little crammed.

We were greeted on arrival by a lovely staff member who was so attentive and made us feel so welcome, she even offered to put our luggage in our room for us so that we didn't have to come back to do it ourselves before reception closed. The room exceeded our expectations, It was so much bigger than it looked on the photos. We loved the seating area near the window. The restaurant/ bar downstairs had a lovely vibe too, English translation of food menus would have made it a little easier.

Overall was good, can get loud on Saturday night but that is understandable based on location.

Friendly staff and room was as shown in pictures, modern and clean. Good location and easy to get to, close to station, bus stops and train station.

The suite is above loads of clubs that don't close till 4-5ish. Curtains were hanging off, told staff but it didn't get fixed. The floor was dirty and hadn't been hovered. There were scuff marks and small whole in the wall near the bed. A 150 euro deposit was required, but they never looked at the room so that seemed pointless. There was no one at check out for 15 mins, we had to go looking for some one in the restaurant who could help.
