“The breakfast was way better than what I expected. In many places the options tend to be only sweet, but here there was a good variety of savory choices as well. The location is perfect, in the middle of Manhattan, everything is easy to access. The room was great as well, the bed was really comfy, no noise from the street either.
The gym was also nice and clean and had enough equipment for a good, varied workout.”
“Excellent location directly across from Penn Station. The hotel is within walking distance of many of the iconic NY sites. Room was quite comfortable and a good size. Rooftop bar was a great bonus but very expensive. Breakfast was good but basic.”
“We travelled with our 2 teens (15 and 12 yo) and shared 1 large room with 2 queensize beds. The room and bathroom were spacious with regards to NY-standards and was very clean and modern. Every day a change of bath linnen, cleaning of the room and new amenities (shampoo etc). The staff is very friendly, our requests (eg. extra toilet paper) were complied almost immediately (within 15 mins). We stayed in April: restaurant and rooftop were closed but there was free coffee in the lobby which was great. Location to us was excellent: 15 mins walk from Times Square, close to restaurant row (a lot of very nice restaurants!) and also 1 street away from the Intrepid/Circle Line cruises and thus the Hudson river. 20 mins walk (alongside Hudson river) to Hudson yards/the Vessel. For the price we payed (via Booking.com) I would say this was an excellent value-for-money hotel.”
“Superb location, friendly staff and rooms are exactly what’s needed for a city break.
I WOULD IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.
On arrival we were met but a relatively small queue and it didn’t take long to get served. We were greeted by a lovely lady called Selka who upgraded our room to a King. We were also only charged £100 deposit instead of the standard £50 per day. Note you get this back pending no issues with the room.
I read loads of reviews before we went to NYC and people are slating the rooms. I’m not sure what you want from the middle of Times Square without paying an absolute fortune. Yes the rooms are dated and have issues but you sleep and shower in them that’s it. The beds are comfy and they’re cleaned daily.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for a short break I can’t recommend the place highly enough.”
