In a word everything. The property is like something out of a James Bond movie. The room was excellent with two onsen, one outside with an incredible view. The layout of the room and the decor were to our taste and amazing in its simplicity. This aspect was evident it the rest of the hotel, from the corridors with work windows strategically placed, to the communal areas. The Kaiseki dinners were also excellent and the staff extremely welcoming and helpful.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths and ocean views, Wakamatsu Hot Spring Resort is a 15-minute drive from JR Hakodate Station. Free parking is available on site. Magical place. Exceptional service and hospitality from staff. The onsens were relaxing and beautiful. We loved the private bath to enjoy as a family. The room was immaculate and the view amazing. 10 out of 10!

Das Mimatsuso Ryokan bietet erschwingliche Unterkünfte im japanischen Stil und liegt eine 5-minütige Fahrt mit dem kostenlosen Shuttle vom JR-Bahnhof Asahikawa entfernt. The host was super nice, drove us to the station in the morning which was really helpful since it was raining. The bath was great after a long day and there was even a great festival going on right next to the acommodation.

A 2-minute walk from Jozankei Shako-mae bus stop, Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei offers rooms with a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax in public hot-spring bath. The room - including the incredible view and en suite onsen - was absolutely incredible and perfect for me and my teenage daughters. But the food… for me, that was the highlight. The breakfast and dinner included in our stay was out of this world and a beautiful way to experience Hokkaido — our first time there. The service was fantastic, start to finish — we always felt welcome and cared for. I read about this hotel in The NY Times, and it delivered, 100 percent. Highly recommend, 10/10!

All staff members were very helpful from our check in till checkout. Also assisted in communicating with a doctor when my wife was unwell. Compliments to Watanabe, Amy, Ishida & service staff.
