Exceptional service and hospitality from staff. The onsens were relaxing and beautiful. We loved the private bath to enjoy as a family. The room was immaculate and the view amazing. 10 out of 10!

Offering affordable Japanese-style accommodations, Mimatsuso Ryokan is a 5-minute drive on the free shuttle from JR Asahikawa Train Station. Feel like home, hommy house, This is a old house, at first mayby you feel like enter en old showa Era vibe of house But after a while, I and my family really enjoy our stay. Tatami is very clean, bed is very clean, The owner, his wife, and his daughter do their best to serve us, and make us feel like home. We do really appreciate every effort they have done.

The room - including the incredible view and en suite onsen - was absolutely incredible and perfect for me and my teenage daughters. But the food… for me, that was the highlight. The breakfast and dinner included in our stay was out of this world and a beautiful way to experience Hokkaido — our first time there. The service was fantastic, start to finish — we always felt welcome and cared for. I read about this hotel in The NY Times, and it delivered, 100 percent. Highly recommend, 10/10!

Featuring natural hot-spring baths and fresh Japanese meals, Kashoutei Hanaya Ryokan offers spacious rooms overlooking the Oyunuma River. Very clean & quiet. All staff members were very helpful from our check in till checkout. Also assisted in communicating with a doctor when my wife was unwell. Compliments to Watanabe, Amy, Ishida & service staff.
