Mimatsuso Ryokan erbjuder prisvärt boende i japansk stil, 5 minuters bilresa med gratis transfer från tågstationen JR Asahikawa. It is close the train station. The room is big and cozy. The owner is friendly and nice. In the morning of check out day I saw a small note on the wall that guest can try kimono for free in the everning. I stayed there for 3 nights but i overlooked that note. I missed a chance to try kimono. It was rain when I checked out. So the owner suggested driving me to the train station. I felt so warm in a rainy day. I also received a souvenir gift from the hostel. I love it so much.

The room - including the incredible view and en suite onsen - was absolutely incredible and perfect for me and my teenage daughters. But the food… for me, that was the highlight. The breakfast and dinner included in our stay was out of this world and a beautiful way to experience Hokkaido — our first time there. The service was fantastic, start to finish — we always felt welcome and cared for. I read about this hotel in The NY Times, and it delivered, 100 percent. Highly recommend, 10/10!

Plenty of free parking. The socializing room with free drinks and free snacks is very nice. The Onsen is also much appreciated. There was even an easy to use printer to allow me to easily handle some business.
