El Shikinosato Hanamura está situado en Minamioguni, a 2,7 km de Kurokawa Onsen, y ofrece alojamientos con jardín, estacionamiento privado gratuito y una terraza. It was super comfortable to stay here, staff service, facilities, breakfast and dinner were all great. Is a good place to relax.

El Syukubo Aso se encuentra en Aso, a 16 km del monte Aso y a 5 km del santuario de Aso, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, wifi gratis en todas las instalaciones y estacionamiento privado gratuito. It’s very comfortable with original ryokan atmosphere. Food was excellence both dinner and breakfast. You need car to get there but it’s worth it.

El Okyakuya, construido en 1722, está situado en el distrito histórico del distrito de Kurokawa Onsen. This is one of the most memorable stay in Japan for us, the staff is friendly and the place itself is very calming. We enjoy the onsen very much and the history of the building. Highly recommended to visit!

El Minshuku Asogen se encuentra en Aso, a 18 km del monte Aso y a 8 km del santuario de Aso, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratuito. El alojamiento es fantástico, con un baño a parte de las habitaciones que puedes utilizar de forma privada para onsen. La recepción fue extraordinaria. Llegamos bastante tarde, no teníamos donde cenar, y llamaron a un restaurante cercano para que nos preparasen algo de comer. La habitaciones son muy amplías y con una decoración minimalista japonesa.

El Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan cuenta con 5 baños termales, entre los que se incluye un baño cueva de 30 metros de largo. We spent 3 nights at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihonbashi Kayabacho hotel after arriving in Japan (There is another Fresa Inn in the area, so make sure this is where you have your reservation). It is a relatively modern, functional hotel sometimes referred to as a business hotel.  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small as is typical in Tokyo but very clean and functional.  The hotel is convenient to Tokyo station (20 minutes walking as a reference). After arriving on the Narita Express or by others means to Tokyo station, follow signs to the Tozai line (sky blue) subway. The easiest way to know which direction to go is to look at the numbers representing the stops.  The Tokyo station stop at Otemachi is T-9 and you want to go to T-7 Kayabacho. Leave the Kayabacho subway station via Exit 7 and the hotel is just around the corner.  From Kayabaco or the nearby Nihonbashi station, you can get all around Tokyo on the highly efficient subway system.  Use a Suica, Welcome Suica or Pasmo card to enter and exit subways and avoid the hassle of figuring out which ticket to buy or how much they coat. Just tap and go.  Enjoy. Kokura,Onsen EXPERIENCE JAPAN LIKE THE JAPANESE We decided to spend a couple of days in central Kyushu to enjoy a traditional Japanese ryokan experience. Boy, was that a great call! I88We stayed at the Yama no Yado Shinmeikan  in the Kokura Onsen area, which is an hour north of Aso city by bus. The ryokan is 130 years old but is clean and well-maintained. It features a total of 5 unique onsens, including one carved into a cave.  The ambiance is terrific and the staff is super friendly and helpful.  The ryokan is located along a flowing river and the sound of running water adds to the relaxing quality of the stay.  (The Fuji room is best). All accommodations are traditional Japanese tatami rooms which are made up for sleep each night by the staff as you enjoy the onsen baths.

El Oku no Yu Ryokan está situado junto al río Tanohara, en un entorno natural tranquilo en la zona de aguas termales de Kurokawa Onsen, y ofrece alojamiento con encanto de estilo japonés y diversos... Very clean rooms and baths, beautiful surrounds and delicious food.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Amazing atmosphere and incredibly nice staff. Delicious food. A beautiful place “suspended in time”.

El Nanjoen está situado en el centro de la zona de Kurokawa Onsen y cuenta con un total de 8 baños termales cubiertos y al aire libre. The room was lovely, large tatami room with a table and chairs by a hand he window with a view of the mountains. The bath was well appointed and serene with a nice open air bath area. The dinner and breakfast were just delicious. Highly recommend!

El Yamashinobu es un alojamiento tranquilo situado en un bosque. Alberga baños termales públicos y privados, un observatorio astronómico y un piano. Impeccable service. Food and onsen were excellent.

El Ryokan Wakaba, situado en una zona montañosa tranquila, ofrece alojamientos de estilo japonés y cuenta con amplios baños termales cubiertos y al aire libre, rodeados por una vegetación exuberante. The staff was incredibly welcoming, happy to help us around; both before our stay as well as on site — they even took care of parking our rental car :) Meals (both dinners and breakfasts) were one of the highlights of the stay, with an amazing variety of truly excellent dishes — and different everyday! The onsen was amazing, we truly appreciated having the option to book a private room for ourselves, as this was our honeymoon. The rooms was great as well, in a traditional japanese setting, with extremely comfortable futons, a private bath, and an adjoining tea room.
