Hotel Fuki no Mori ligger 20 minutters kørsel fra JR Nagiso Station med hotellets gratis transport. Gæsterne kan gå tur i haven eller i de naturskønne områder omkring hotellet. The outdoor onsen is breathtaking, and the whole place has a very traditional atmosphere whilst also feeling fresh.

Oshi Ryokan ligger blot 5 minutters gang fra den historiske Togakushi-helligdom og tilbyder traditionel indkvartering i det fredelige bjergområde, der brugte til pilgrimme. Wonderful traditional ryokan owned by the Oshi family for 200 years. I stayed in a spacious tatami room on the ground floor with beautiful views of the garden. Very peaceful to sit and stare outside. Delicious breakfast and dinner add on options and a very friendly host who made me feel like I was in a second home. Will definitely be returning again. The ryokan is conveniently located steps from the bus stop and takes about 1 hr on a direct bus from Nagano station. It's 3 mins walk from the steps of the first of five shrines (lower shrine) of Togakuji so I highly recommend completing the Togakuji "pilgrimage" trail to see all of them. Beautiful 300+ yr old cedar trees line the paths. Togakuji is the birthplace of soba noodles and beside Chusa Otorii (middle shrine) is the #1 soba noodles restaurant, Uzuraya. There are long wait times at the restaurant so I put my name down at Uzuraya on my way up on the hike and it was ready by the time I returned to dine right away. It was around a 3 hr roundtrip hike from the ryokan or 4-5 hrs with breaks and lunch. Great way to explore the area.

Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya ligger blot 10 minutters kørsel fra Snow Monkey Park og tilbyder enkel japansk indkvartering med gratis WiFi. Akira and Yumi were exceptional hosts, super friendly and polite. The ryokan was even more beautiful than in the pictures. The private onsen was wonderful and we were able to go there whenever we wanted. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. Akira and Yumi were also able to cater for my multiple allergies which amazed me. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the river. The sound of the white water was relaxing.

Kadowakikan ligger 3 minutters gang fra skisportsstedet Nozawa Onsen og tilbyder ski til dør-adgang, varmt kildebad og gratis wi-fi. I enjoyed everything about this stay. The room was very cozy, and their was an onsen inside the guest house as well. The main thing I wanna point out is the service - Kadowaki-san was such a fantastic host, helping with gear rental, recommendations, and general inquiries. It was very nice to talk to as well and very efficient with Google Translator :D. I was in Japan for 2 weeks, and this was by ease the best place I stayed at. Will definitely be back to this place and highly recommend it.
