A beautiful rustic house in a great location and wonderfully appointed for guests, creating a lovely Albanian home stay experience. The owners are super lovely hosts and very warm. the breakfast spread they provided was ample and delicious. This was the best stay during our 8 days in Albania.

It's hard to summarize my emotional rollercoaster for that day. I had a pretty dreadful day in the back country and rolled into the villa quite late. To my surprise I was greeted and treated as if I came come home to family. Before I could unpack I had plates of food, stories, wine, it was amazing. The location is gorgeous. Plants and flowers everywhere. Grapevines pumping out little grapes for the wine. The pictures looked nice although it wasn't until I actually got there where I stopped and it really hit me how beautifully set the place is. Breakfast was also A+ with extra fruits picked right off the trees. It honestly felt like a little retreat at a family member that wanted to spoil you.

Vila Antigonea is a recently renovated villa in Gjirokastër, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. He gave us fresh fruits, and we spent a cosy night with him, talking, with some raki and wine he served us. We also fell in love with the cat 🐈 The apartment has everything you need + a washing machine, which is great! It's a big place with a good bed and a television with netflix. The kitchen has 4 cooking plates and an oven. The bathroom is small but comfy with a good shower. The place is close to a horse riding facility where you can do beautiful hikes with the horses. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place near Gjirokaster: this is it!

It's super clean, has all necessary features, very warm — since it has a wood stove. And being located a bit on the hill it provides stunning views on the surrounding mountains. Though, it's the people who made our stay very special here — very warm attitude of the hosts, feeling like coming home. Great communication: very open, friendly and hostpitable people, ready to help! Perfect breakfast from the local home made products. The location of that home would require a car to get there, but it's also very authentic experience to be here in the real Albanian village.

Very good view from the first floor. Large rooms so you have enough space. There is beautiful place in front of the house with outside seating. Accomodation is very close from the centre and close from the castle. Owner was very friendly. We were accomodated within 10 minutes even without prior booking.

On Sunday morning we got up to find ourselves in middle of a local market ( good windows, so we didn’t hear any noise). Such a wonderful surprise! We bought the best herbs and veggies you can get.
