It was raining when we got there, and it was a nice surprise to open the door and feel the heating on. It was lovely and warm inside. It was like a show house inside, everything was clean and looked like new, also they had left some packets of crisps and a bottle of wine , lovely.

David is such a great host, who took a lot of time to tell us about the history of the place and surroundings. You can tell he is a successful film director by the attention he gives to detail. Belfast is the birthplace of the Titanic and this place gives you a feeling for the lives of ordinary craftsmen at the shipyard at the time. So it is a great addition to the main attractions. We received directions and information about all important places (like Lidl - great for us as German visitors and self caterers). The area is not central, but very typical, not far from the port and Titanic museum. It is easy to get to the city centre by bus (direct bus line).
