On a farm in the countryside, surrounded by orange groves, vineyards, and animal pastures (with donkeys, horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and geese). Great view of Mount Etna and the stars at night. The restaurant on-site is really great, serving local dishes made mostly with local products. Nice breakfast in the morning with a good selection of options. It is run by a family and feels very welcoming. Everyone was very nice and made it a great experience.

This beautiful hotel lies in the country side close to Catania. We wanted a quiet stay in Sicily, away from the city live and that's what we received. The staff was amazing and incredibly helpful and the restaurant had some of the best food we ever ate. The view from the breakfast room towards Mt Etna was very enjoyable every morning. The only thing to be aware of is that planes for the Catania fly low over this property, so you can hear airplanes from time to time, but that wasn't an issue for us at all.

Il Gelso Bianco is a 3-star hotel with a restaurant and outdoor pool at the entrance of the Catania - Palermo Motorway and near the ring roads connecting the other Sicilian motorways. The pool was amazing; the location was fantastic and exactly what we needed; and breakfast was good.
