The most amazing host family, most amazing food and home. I could not recommend this enough! The house is so filled with love and Lila is so kind and such an amazing cook. Her son and daughter are the sweetest and I loved played with them! And the dad even woke up at 5am just to take us to sigiriya rock, so Kind! Besides that the room is also great, very clean, had a fan and a mosquito net so we didn't get bitten We loved waking up in the middle of nature with all the birds and green surrounding us The location is also great, 10min walk to the main road/center!

This is absolutely the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Manju and his family were extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful! This is a one of a kind, and a must if going to Sigiriya. Also Manju’s wife and her mother makes the best Curry in the whole of Sri Lanka!

I had a great stay close to nature in the shared room with 5 beds and connected bathroom. Great common area a few meters from the room. For me it was almost like a homestay, because of the hosts (and families) friendliness. The host showed me around the area, including touristy and non-touristy spots, that were almost more impressive, since I would not have discovered them any other way. I can highly recommend staying in Sigirya Rastha hostel and get to know the area through a locals eyes.
