Ambelos is a beautiful, quiet, clean, cozy and specious. We spend 3 weeks there (we planed two and stayed another one because it was so nice). The pool is very big and always very clean and usually not very busy. The hotel and the surroundings are very well maintained. there are olive, fig, pomegranate trees, beautiful flowers, grapes. etc. i picked fresh fruit every day from the garden and sometimes we got fresh eggs from the host. the host was always very friendly and helpful. he is taking very good care of the place. the rooms are very spacious and we had a nice terrace with view on the sea. there is free parking and nice beaches near by. you reach iraklio in 20 minutes by car. I can definitely recommend ambelos and would always go back there. thank you for having us.

Everything was amazing, I would definitely come back! Nice clean cosy quiet hotel, huge rooms with kitchenette and everything you may need there. 7-10 minutes walk from the beach and the center with restaurants. Very quiet area, there is a small shop just few meters from the hotel, and bigger shops 5 min walk. Loved all about the hotel, especially the attention from the owners, thank you so much!

.Place was overall and for price very nice. Breakfast was served to tables, please remember to order fruits etc. Breakfast was very good and everything was homemade (I guess). George and others was very nice people. Apartment was bigger than shown in pictures. Pool opening hours very good, not as strick as in big hotels.

Gorge and Fofi are perfect hosts! We felt like visiting friends or family, everything was perfect! Breakfast is great on a sunny terrace in the morning; Dinner is super delicious with a great view from a terrace. We had a bungalow next to the pool and enjoyed it very much. We had everything we need, a nice little kitchenette, the bed is very comfy, the conditioner worked well, and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. It is just a short walk (10 min approx.) down to the beach and we walk every day (never drove there); it might be a bit of a challenge to walk back up (15 min) after a hearty dinner in a local tavern, but we both were ok to do so twice a day. The beach is very well equipped, nice water, we haven’t had big waves, though it was windy. There is a mini market, and several local taverns and bars, we would recommend Anatolia tavern and to have a drink in Liber lounge bar. I definitely would stay here again when we are back in Crete.
