I would recommend booking a riverside room for the view. - When leaving the hotel, you are immediately on the promenade along Singapore River. Good for morning jogging and looking for dining options in evening.

Our apartment was spacious and clean with air-conditioning in every room. The reception staff were outstanding, an especially big thanks to Vidi who helped us and gave us lots of local advice. The breakfast was well presented and tasty. The pool was always clean and refreshing. The location is fantastic, situated within minutes of two MRT stations and loads of shopping malls with supermarkets and food halls.

The room is small and packed as expected from most places in SG. I stayed in a single room with a shared kitchenette next to a double room in the apart. The shared kitchenette has a sink (+ you can drink tap water in SG), kettle, a small fridge, and a microwave. The single room has a private toilet&bathroom, a small table with a study lamp (if you like to use a computer or read a book) hair dryer, a big screen TV, and a low-noise air-con. The bathroom has all these small amenities such as a toothbrush, showering gel shampoos, etc. Plus, there is free wifi in the room. -The reception staff were so nice and friendly. -The place is newly renovated, so everything is new in the room. -Everything was so clean. -There is a daily disposal of garbage service available. Apart from this, weekly room cleaning is part of the service provided. -The location was great. (Katong-Joo Chiat is famous for its historical Peranakan culture. I would recommend taking advantage of your location to discover more.) -The place is <=1hr away from all other popular places. -You can find many shopping malls, cafes, and supermarkets like FairPrice/NTUC or ColdStorage nearby. -You can also find many places to eat your meals around (If you are Muslim and looking for Halal, there are plenty of them as well). -The East Coast Park and Beach are 10 minutes away by walking. (This is one of the best places in SG whether you prefer a picnic, a short walk, just sitting and watching the sea, running, or cycling.)

Absolutely amazed at the efficiency of the compact design of the space. Even a queen sized bed. Safe, hangers, toiletries, cutlery mugs.... Shared kitchen space well equipped and all using the space are super conscientious about keeping the area clean - very impressed! Towels were changed on day 3. Staff very friendly and helpful. The apartment block is in a residential area so lovely leafy trees outside our window. Conveniently opposite the one-north MTR (Exit B). One-north station is on the circle line but no ticket office just a customer service kiosk so to get a "Tourist MTR Card" one needs to go to Bueno Vista station which is one station away. A little off the tourist "beaten track" but everything very accessible via MTR. The shopping center directly opposite has a good supermarket and fast food outlets. All in all a good value for money stay in expensive Singapore.
