Very spacious and well equipped apartment for our stay to enjoy the Open Championship for golf this year. We had a lovely welcome package with tea, cookies and a loaf of home made bread (which was excellent). We also had a bottle of wine and a beer waiting for us. For breakfasts, we had fresh milk and an assortment of cereals. It was so nice eating a meal looking over a private garden. The proprietor was very helpful but not obtrusive at all. This was the nicest bed and breakfast we have stayed at in the UK. The neighborhood doesn't offer a lot of dining options, but those present were very good. We particularly recommend the Rockwood Bistro for fine dining, but it is only open a few days a week. The Indian place, Magic Spice, is a short walk and had a nice menu with good service. We highly recommend the Holland House if your travels take you to the Wirral. If the weather is nice, a walk along the promenade on the Mersey River is only 2 short blocks away. It's a nice walk to the ferry tour of the river and views of Liverpool. Liverpool is a really interesting place that we enjoyed far more than we expected. And the people in the area were among the nicest we have ever met on our many travels around the world. Recommended without reservation!

Beautiful apartment, comfortable, gorgeous bathroom and fantastic views. Host left snacks and drinks for us and the whole experience was so nice! Highly recommend.

We stayed in this apartment just before Easter for a couple of nights and it had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The apartment itself is spotless and the host Kenneth kindly provides a number of essentials should you need them, such as a range of teas. We were also delighted after our long journey to find Kenneth had left us some delicious Easter lemon cakes which was a lovely touch. We made use of both sofa beds which were very clean and comfortable and had already been prepared for us prior to our arrival. The apartment is a short walk from both the train station and town centre, which was perfect for us as we liked the short walk to the centre to blow away the cob webs each morning. We were staying for an event my daughter was participating in at The Floral Pavilion Theatre but would love to return again for a longer stay!

Really great location, my friend and I stayed here a few nights during Eurovision. It was an easy bus ride over to Liverpool. Conveniently located near the ferry, the river Mersey, and the promenade. Nice and quiet, facilities were updated. Host was super friendly, and check in was easy.
