The spotless apartment is at the end of a quiet residential street overlooking the town. It's on the lower level, with the owner and family living above. The place is very spacious, with a large foyer, bedroom, well-equipped kitchen and sitting area, and a laundry/bathroom area with washer, dryer, and an excellent shower. The bed was comfortable, the view of the fjord was beautiful, and the location is great. Excellent hiking up the hillside behind the apartment, as well as convenient driving access to Dynjandi waterfall and the red sand beach. An excellent restaurant in the town (Stúkuhúsið) serves delicious lamb, fish and desserts. There's a good grocery store and a tourist office in town as well.

We had a good time at this spacious and well equipped appartment. It was very clean and the communication with the host went very smoothly. Stekkar appartment is a good starting point for exploring the nearby touristical highlights such as Dynjandi waterfall, Rauđisandur beach and Látrabjarg cliffs. We highly recommend a visit of Selárdalur and Samúel Jónsson's art farm.

There's a nice hot tub where we soaked in and enjoyed the Northern Lights. Comes with a washer and dryer which was really helpful to have. BBQ pit provided.

Well equipped and everything worked well including WIFI (it always seems to in Iceland). Easy parking just a few meters away and plenty of classic glaciated landscapes and fjord scenery in the area. Good supermarket in the town, also petrol.
