View from the balcony was absolutely incredible, both to the nearby ocean and Centro Histórico. Lots of space and very clean! The owner Pablo was super cool & friendly, we chatted for awhile after I checked in and from the balcony he pointed out to me all the main spots in the area to help orientate me a bit with that (southern) part of the city and beaches.

Even if the building is one of the oldest on this stretch of Mazatlán beaches and is in dire want of some new paint, the apartment is gorgeous. We only stayed one night on our way back to Mexico city, ideally, you would want to stay three days or more and relax.

I highly recommend staying here! Villa Serena’s location is in the middle of town and cannot be beat. The king bed room for 2 we got was super spacious and clean. The kitchen had all the basic kitchenware (pots/plates/cups) which made it very convenient for simple cooking. The bed was the most comfortable I had ever slept in in any hotel/hostel. I will definitely stay here again when in Mazátlan. Shoutout to Daisy for being super friendly and for keeping out bags safe for us even after we’ve checked out!

Both Mr. Alcalá, the owner, and Mary, the property manager, contacted us before, during and at the end of our stay, going out of their way to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. There is a large refrigerator with ice maker, smooth top electric cooktop, powerful microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, all of which we used.
