The apartment had a very good size and it was very clean. I was worried about mosquitos but there were none. It was really comfortable. It’s close to the airport, you just need to get one of the red taxis at the airport and it will be $5-8 only.

Hospedaje Rio Celeste Katira, Habitación privada is a recently renovated apartment in San Rafael, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Loved everything about this place. So spacious, affordable, and got to experience how locals live in that area. The best part was our hosts, Maria and Rafa. They’re so kind and helpful and I’m so happy to be contributing to the local economy, rather than foreign-owned overly priced hotels.

Set just 13 km from Poas National Park, El Buda provides accommodation in Poás with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as private check-in and check-out. The place is a great hub to visit the entire area, I was there for 4 days and it could have been more. The accommodation meets everything necessary, spacious, clean and comfortable, adding a nice balcony for breakfast.
