Spotlessly clean with all amenities. Caveat - the building is a bit run down but that s the case all over Egypt so not the owner’s fault. That is also why the price is economical and it is fabulous value for money. - laundry is there - Ammar helped do my laundry and there is a dryer as well so you get your clothes clean and dry. - it felt like staying at a dear friend s home and Ammar also offered help with organising tours.

The owner Ahmed is a lovely and helpful person. He booked everything we needed for our stay in Abu Simbel (temples, light show, French tour guide). Do not hesitate to have dinner onsite because the meal prepared by his mother was just delicious!

The house was clean and quiet, and the dishes in the kitchen were clean and well-equipped with a gas stove. And the hosts, Hassan and Ahmet, were kind and friendly. Whenever I had questions or needed help, I got answers right away. They picked me up at the bus terminal, gave me a ride to the terminal when I left, and helped me buy a bus ticket to Aswan. He even helped me get some beer. (There are no stores that sell alcohol in Abu Simbel. Some large hotel bars sell alcohol, but it is quite expensive.) It's not like a hotel and it is located in a local area. That's why I liked the house more.

Featuring a terrace and views of sea, Abu simbel Nubian Guest House is a recently renovated apartment located in Abu Simbel, 1.6 km from Abu Simbel Temples. The property features lake and garden views. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Big spacious rooms that were spotlessly clean and with comfortable beds. The showers were excellent too. The apartments were well equipped and the upstairs one had a nice big balcony to sit out on. Breakfast was very good and the owner went above and beyond to be helpful, including giving us welcome soft drinks, water, and a selection of fruit, driving us to a restaurant for lunch, and picking us in the evening after the light show was cancelled due to technical issues. He also organised a nice boat trip for us. This was one of the nicest places we stayed in Egypt and it was well worth spending the night to avoid the crowds and not have 6+ hours of travelling in a single day.

Outdoor dining is also possible at the apartment. The location of the apartment is right on the Nile river with a great view and everything was homey and rustic. Its really great value for money. Hegazy the host and his father was really attentive to all our needs and never bothered us during our stay.
