This is the hidden gem of Ella. If you’re trying to get away from the noise/touristy part of this city, 49 Ella is a dream. I almost didn’t want to write this because I know how special this property is but incredible WiFi, great AC, overlooking the mountains, you can see the train over the hills. The birds chirp in the morning and the sunrises are special. I don’t have words for how amazing this place is. A little outside of town, but less than $2 US to get into town. Worth it.

Honestly, one of the best places we had in Sri Lanka during our one month travelling. Trully recommend!

I loved everything, the owner and his family are stars, they make everything possible to make you feel like home. It was just amazing, super clean, super friendly. just perfect. It exceeded my expectations. You are in the middle of a tea plantation WOW!!!, sooo quiet and still so close to the train station. An absolute gem. This place is highly recommended :-) This is the place to stay in Ella :-)

Everything was very nice, there was a good breakfast, a nice room and a perfect balcony view. I thank the host for being helpful, friendly and hospitable.

The host is amazing. One of the nicest people you will meet in Sri Lanka. His guide services were great and saved a lot of time and got us to the best stuff quickly.

It was simply a wonderful apartment. The family owning the cottage was very kind and even picked us up in town and brought us to the train station by Tuktuk. We had delicious breakfast and dinner and the view from the room was simply stunning. I would highly recommend going to this place! :)

Ice Age Cottage está a 6,7 km de Puente de los Nueve Arcos, Demodara y ofrece alojamiento con balcón y wifi gratis. Hay un baño privado totalmente equipado con ducha y artículos de aseo gratuitos. The owner was very helpful and communicative before we got to the property. He picked us up from the train station late at night, and arranged transportation for us after eating dinner back to the property. The location is a little bit outside of the main town area which was good for us, nice and quiet at night. Every morning we got a huge breakfast made by the owner which was customizable depending on your own taste. He can help book drivers to different spots around the area. Good value for the money.

The Creek Villa ella, que cuenta con vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con balcón y hervidor a unos 49 km de Hakgala Botanical Garden. Susan was really welcoming and friendly. He shared good tips on where to eat and get laundry done, became our tuk tuk driver while we were in Ella and offered a lovely breakfast service for a small extra charge. The view is so gorgeous and he helped carry our backpacks up to the room.
