There is a cafe/restaurant just a two min walk down the street. Very quiet neighborhood and beach access is right across the street; there is even a beach blanket on hand. Room had comfy bed and everything was very very clean. Nice to have access to a BBQ along with some basic cooking supplies (oil, foil). Amazing stay in the NZ west coast. Thanks Pete and Jill

The house is very modern, clean and the host warmed up the accomodation for us prior to our arrival. Very thoughtful hosts! Rooms are spacious with beautiful views across the deck from all three rooms in the morning.

The property was in a beautiful spot just outside the town. It was spacious, nicely decorated and furnished and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this beautiful house for friends getting together or for families. A great find in a very scenic area.

My husband and I were warmly greeted by curious dwarf horses as we approached the beautiful property. We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this stunning place. It rained throughout our short visit, but it only added to the ambience of the place. The access to delicious food at less than a kilometer away made this property all the more pleasant. Highly recommend staying here.

It was very clean and comfortable and the host was very friendly and informative.

A great stay in a great location! We were thankful to have our own cabin to stay in the Otira/Arthur’s Pass area. Gary and Dawn were very helpful and took extra time to ensure that we were aware of what to expect from the cabin, what to make sure to bring, and that we were able to check in without issue. They were proactive and made extra effort to ensure a comfortable stay. They were also very quick to respond to any inquiries ahead of and throughout our stay. Check in and check out were super easy, and Gary and Dawn provided clear instructions and followed up so there was no doubt about getting in and out without issue. On chilly evenings, it felt like a luxury to be able to light a fire in the fireplace. There is also a heater if you need it, but the cabin is well-insulated enough that the cosy hut stayed warm enough through the night long after the fire went out. The kitchen is equipped with the appliances and accessories for preparing meals in the cabin. The cabin is spacious, has a full bathroom inside, and towels and linens are included. We were also surprised at how strong and fast the wifi connection is. Located in the beautiful mountain area, you can view the mountains from the cabin and on a clear night, the stars pop in the sky because it is far from light pollution. An all-around great deal for the area and a great home-base while exploring Otira and Arthur’s pass!
