The breakfast was excellent, with local specialties and eggs fresh from the hosts' property. Each breakfast offered slightly different options everyday. The scenery around the property is gorgeous, perfect to disconnect and recharge batteries. The hosts were very friendly and attentive, providing great advice and suggestions for local activities. Despite not speaking English fluently, our hosts made the effort to connect.

Vorderwimmhof is within 500 metres of Abtenau town centre, a ski bus stop, ski slopes, ski lifts and a restaurant. A public outoor pool, hiking and toboggan trails, and the Karkogel ski area can be reached by car in 5 minutes.

Set amidst the scenic Tennengebirge Mountains, this traditional farmhouse is 7 km from Abtenau. The spacious apartments all have a balcony overlooking the mountains. Free bicycle hire is available at the Schnitzhof.

The Schnitzhof’s garden includes BBQ facilities and a big children’s playground. Free private parking is available on site, and the internet terminal in the lobby can be used free of charge.

Food and breakfast was also good. I think the property deserves more ratings than the current (while posting 6.9).
