This family-run country hotel offers comfortable rooms, just a short stroll from the Xantener Nordsee lake in the historic town of Xanten, North-Rhine Westphalia. On-site parking is free.

The bright and cosy rooms at the Landhaus Spickermann are furnished in a homely, country style.

Genuinely welcoming staff. I came in soaked from my bike ride. They brought me a drink while I filled in th registration details. There was a secure garage for my bike. Rooms above a non tourist bar/ resto. I can't comment on the quality of the food, cos I was srarving, but there was a lot of it and it was not expensive and I enjoyed it. The barlady gave me a snapps for eating all the mixed grill. The waiter brought me a snapps for drinking the first snapps. For the price the room was absolutely fine. Unusually, you could also control the heating.

A private entrance leads guests into the bed and breakfast, where they can enjoy some wine or champagne and chocolates or cookies. The accommodation is non-smoking.

this place is a gem! we didn’t expect it to be anything more than a bed and a bathroom but what we got was like an invitation to a private home. The rooms were decorated with love and care, the welcome like visiting a loved relative. plus there were extras like Netflix something to drink, games, and OMG the breakfast! my first impression was like Christmas morning when I was a child. there was so much care taken into preparing it. All three of us rate this place 11 out of 10 and we’ve been to many places. This place will leave a lasting impression.

A very comfortable, clean, and modern hotel set in a quiet and pleasant location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and dinner at the adjoining restaurant was outstanding. Convenient to both Xanten, with its impressive Roman museum, and the airport at Weese.

Very spacious and comfortable rooms, great location within the town centre for walking to everything, the apartment was exceptionally clean! We had to use the heat because it was suddenly cold overnight, and it worked very efficiently. The area was very quiet when we visited, but I can imagine in the high season it might not be as quiet -- the street noise was minor but it did come up into bedroom.

Located in a quiet street a couple of minutes walk from the main square and about 10 minutes from the railway station. Excellent breakfast buffet. The room was nice - airy and light with modern furnishings. No minibar but there was an honesty system for drinks from the fridge, which was welcome on a hot day. Secure parking for bicycles.
