Watermead Guest House is an absolute gem of an accommodation. Trudy and David made us feel very welcome, chatted with everybody over home cooked breakfast and even gave us great tips where to find ammonites. The room was very cosy, clean and the view was lovely. We stayed for two nights but would prefer to stay much longer. I can definitely wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. Thank you, Trudy and David, for having us and pet Chester for us! :)

The 2-bedroom bed and breakfast features a living room with a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and 1 bathroom with bathrobes. Towels and bed linen are available in the bed and breakfast. The property has an outdoor dining area.

Due to unexpected road works, I arrived a alot later than the official check in time and this was no problem. I believe all in al, the host is very flexible and more than prepaired to fulfil any request. In that case it would be hard to have any complaints really, anything what would have been a problem will be resolved right away. As they say, the accomodation is only as good as their hosts. The garden and building looked very well maintained and it being situated right next to a river, made it all quite idyllic. Seems to be perfect for like a wedding or any other excuse for a party really. I was genuinly impressed with my room. Large bath, large comfy bed, large shower and decorated tastfully. For the price it was larger than I am used to. Since it was all renovated recently, everything was spotless. I believe this is perfect for those longer stays. There was also a beautifully decorated gentlemans room with chesterfield couches, artwork and antiques. I believe there is also a hot tub and an outside firepit, perfect to have some wine and a board with cheese for those late summer evenings. Since it was freezing -6 I didn't made use of that during my time, but the many burning fireplaces was a warm welcome in the cold winter month. 10/10 would book again.

Lovely room & bathroom from comfy bed right down to the luxury soap. The couple who own it are really friendly and helpful and it’s the perfect size to feel personal without being too intimate. Excellent breakfast. Parking literally opposite the entrance.
