This is truly the best place we’ve stayed in Scotland. If you come to Mallaig, we would recommend not taking the train back right away, but treat yourself to a stay at this cosy two-room bed and breakfast. (And book in advance). The host is super super nice and considerate, and the rooms have a beautiful view over the harbor. The restaurant is also worth a visit. Lovely people, relaxing atmosphere - and you really feel pampered in the best way possible. It feels like the best place to be in Mallaig. We needed a relaxing break on our trip, and this was where we got it. We were super tired when we arrived, and this place just made our trip the best one yet. We cannot recommend the Cornerstone enough. We are definitely staying here again, when we come back.

Location is awesome. 2 blocks from CalMac ferry terminal, 1 block around the corner from Scotrail. So quiet, warm, we'll appointed. Fridge, kettle., ensuite. Shops close by. Excellent for foot travelers. Landlady could not have been more welcoming. Thank you

Although check-in was supposed to be 4pm - to me very late! - I was upgraded and allowed to go to my large room with great views of the Isles at 3pm. There was no hair dryer in my room, but the charming Brazilian member of staff I accosted found me one. (He should have a bonus!) The bathroom was large but there was no shelf. Breakfast was outstanding. I had continental - lots of fresh fruit salad, cereals, pastries, juices and no hot drinks machine!

I had to leave early and the cooked breakfast is not available before 8, but they made me a lovely granola/ yoghurt/ fresh fruit breakfast to put in the fridge in the room, so it was perfect.

The room and the ensuite had stunning views from the harbour. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly and even catered for my gluten free needs. The b and b is an easy and short walk from the shops but quiet. I would definitely stay here again.LouiseYoung couple
