Marie is excellent hosts, she took great care to my family that we have everything we need. The breakfast was amazing and delicious ! We couldn’t wish for more! The property is not in the center but easy to reach. Our trip to Skye was made even more memorable due to Marie’s lovely hospitality. I would definitely want to go back to Skye and stay there again.

We loved the location, as it allowed us to explore the island's most beautiful scenery, like The Storr, Quiraing, The Neist Point and Sligachan. They were all a short drive from the cottage. Portree was only 10 minutes down the road, which gave us access to food and drink in the evenings. The accommodation itself was warm, inviting and very comfortable with everything we wanted or needed at our disposal. It was a place, where we were happy to stay when the weather wasn’t great and we wanted to rest after exploring the island. We were well looked after during our stay with breakfast items provided, towels changed regularly as well as the bedding. All whilst maintaining the unfortunate necessity for social distancing due to covid. The biggest plus about the cottage, besides the great location and the accommodation itself, were the owners Fiona and Willie. They were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as enjoyable and safe as possible. We will definitely be coming back for another stay and cannot recommend The Old Nurses’ Cottage highly enough.

Beds and bedrooms comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and the sitting room had lots of seating. It was easy to find, and a great location for everything in the North half of Skye, and only 10 minutes drive from a good sized supermarket in Portree. Definitely a gem for having a base to explore the Isle of Skye. Great location, nice family business, and exceptional views. The room was very clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was healthy, yummy and much more than we needed. Thanks for a lovely stay. Highly recommened.

Breakfast was wheeled into our room on a trolley and was a very comprehensive continental breakfast. The bathroom was very spacious with a great rain fall shower. It was very quiet and peaceful - a shame we hadn't booked longer.

Each room was massive, with 3 bathrooms in total. it was very comfortable and the location means that it's quiet and secluded. The kitchen is great and allowed us to make dinner no problem.

Continental breakfast of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, pastries & toast was plentiful. Sitting on a morning eating breakfast whilst looking out over the beautiful countryside was just wonderful. It was a short 10 min drive into Portree & a great location to be based for exploring Skye.
