The room was really spacious, actually huge. The rooftop has a great view with a lovely gazebo, where you can turn on the fan and lights at night and sit at the table, eating or drinking. There is a common room area which is nice to dine in and free filtered water is provided. The hotel staff are truly amazing, kindly helped me in time of need at 11pm, when my taxi cancelled and they kindly sorted out the situation for me. Very kind people, allowed also to leave my luggage for some hours after check-out. The decor and wall paintings are super nice and very pretty.

This has been one of my best stays in India so far! The hotel sits in an old french heritage house nearby the rock beach, but it’s in a quiet lane, away from the buzz. The architecture is so beautiful an well planned, you immediately feel relaxed there. The breakfast is perfect! Full of fresh croissants and probably one of the best jams you’ll ever try. The staff is also great, they’re always eager to help. Thank you so much for the experience of staying with you!

I stayed 2 weeks in this awesome location. The breakfast is amazing, plus there are plenty of other small cafes near by where you can also go for breakfast if you need a change. I never needed that option. The staff was always very friendly and helpful if needed. Nothing was impossible. It was not a problem to still get something to eat even when i was late for breakfast or when i needed information of any kind about the area or helping organising taxis or a scooter. It is very clean, and the whole set up of the villa is very very nice and stylish decorated. In the evening, fairy-tale lights put the dining area in a very nice light. The food and the drinks in the villa are very delicious. There is a bar next door with live music every day (nice place, good drinks, def. a place to check out). The music plays till 10:30/11pm. That might bother some guests, but I really enjoyed the music and a lot of time i was there myself. For me it was more an asset than a problem. All the touristy things are nearby. You have excellent restaurants in 5-10 min walking distance (Indian cousin, sushi, fish, steak, etc.), beach is in 5 min walking distance, to Auroville and the other beaches in the north or other restaurants and delicious bakeries it takes you 15/20 min by tuck tuck. And it is a fun ride :) I also surfed at Serenity Beach (15 min with tuck tuck in the north), which has a nice beach break, easy going waves, not very crowded, perfect for beginners or intermediate surfers like myself. There is also a nice surf school to check out (Kallialay Surfschool). I had 2 wonderful weeks in Pondi and in villa Helena. I recommend it highly!!!!
