Great place to stay! Very beautifull, traditional house with a cosy kitchen. The rooms are really nice. Very close to the trainstation. Good place to stay if you are planning to do the Nakasendo hike. The host is super nice and very helpfull.

The host was super friendly and very helpful, even when we had some additional requests. Thanks so much for all the help! The rooms were veeery spacious (converted classrooms). The shared toilet & shower facilities were also very clean and nice—overall the building interior felt very new.

We had a wonderful stay at Magome Chaya. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had just enough space for two pieces of luggage plus the futon beds. Dinner and breakfast is also offered and it was great. We got served a variety of small japanese style dishes. Very nice experience staying at a traditional place like this. Magome itself is also just beautiful.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is only one guestroom, so you have the whole guesthouse/cafe for your own.
