An excellent place, the house is exceptionally clean. We had a bedroom that was very comfortable with a view on Anbo river. Breakfast is exceptional, traditional Japanese with an egg and ham, every day different options. The hosts are very, very nice people.

Wonderful location, gorgeous place to stay with a homely and friendly atmosphere. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, warm baked bread and fresh eggs from the chickens. Miki also organised bento for our long hike and helped with restaurant recommendations and bookings. We loved it here.

Highly recommended!! One of the best place to stay in Yakushima!! Clean and cozy place, with 4 rooms and 2 shower +bathroom. Beautiful terrace in front of the sea. You can enjoy BBQ or drinking a beer at the terrace. Great breakfast. The hosts are really helpful and nice couple. They always tried to help us. And the place is very convenient, close to the small village of Onoaida. Nice cafe, onsen(public bath), few restaurants are walkable distance. And you can also bus stop from the airport is about 3 min walk from the hotel. You can catch the public bus to go to the main sights in Yakushima.

The whole area is just wonderful and a great starting point for exploring the island. We stayed in a spacious wooden cabin with out own kitchenette and toilet, and we had our own private bathroom with a bath that comfortably fits one person and uncomfortably two. :)) The accommodation is in walking distance from few restaurants and bus stops, but also hidden away in the nature, close to a river. The owner is very nice and hospitable and even picked us up in the city when we first arrived. We had a great time!

It's geared up for hikers so don't expect luxury, but it has everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen. As noted in other reviews, the landlady is incredibly nice and attentive. It's right by the river and 5 min walk from the nearest bus stop. The place also seems to be a bit of a local institution. Everyone in town knew it.

We had a cracking view over the river. It’s close to a couple of beaches so you can find one for swimming and snorkelling. There are lots of cool fish!
