Mustafa, the owner, is so friendly. I called when i arrived to check if there was a room available and he immediately offered to come and pick me up, but i was on my bicycle so i just rocked up. The hotel is in a nice quiet spot off the main road and in the centre. Short walk or cycle to the lake (which is beautiful!). It's spacious, the room was lovely with a double bed, big couch and table, nice view from the window. Plenty of covers provided to wrap up warm. Bed comfortable. Pillows comfortable (i have a problem with the pillows in Morocco so far, but these were great). Boiling hot water in the shower. Perfect. The living room area is big with some tables and couches dotted around. He's got a tree growing in the centre of the living room! The terrace is a nice green area. He's got thyme growing in parts of it, and a few couches/chairs to relax on. Mustafa stored my bike safely in a room. He cooked me an amazing dinner - tuna with salad, and then grilled some chicken skewers on the fire for me. He then left me to enjoy my evening and i was absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. The following morning he served me breakfast - various types of bread, jam, muffins, dates, cheese, butter, coffee, tea, milk. I was so full from the evening before but i ate as much as I could to fuel my next journey on the bike. If i come again, I'll definitely stay here. And any fellow travelers I will recommend to stay here. I hope he reads this review to see how appreciative i am of the hospitality. I offered to tip at the end of my stay as i felt it was worth more than what i paid, but he refused to take my money and so this is the best i can do! Thank you mustafa!

Very good relation quality-price. The views from the terrace are aweome, one the one side the snowed mountains and the other the lake and the town. Breakfast incuded is very complete: two morocain breads, olives, olive oil, honey, jam, butter, eggs, coffee, tea and w ater. For the coffee lovers, the coffee is excelent. Typical morrocain tahin for lunch very tasty and well prepared. Finally, the kindness of the owner (Badre) which was there for any help and good conversation.

We had a wonderful experience at Dar Tassa, and loved the beautiful mountain views overlooking the Ouirgane valley. Hafida's hospitality and cooking was truly exceptional, and a highlight of our entire time in Morocco. We especially loved the cooking the class and can't wait to make tajines at home! The peace and quiet at Dar Tassa was a real gift!

Absolutely stunning location, in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Gorgeous, art nouveau decor with a beautiful swimming pool. The food was great, and it was actually nice to have everything prepared for you with no menu. Staff are exceptional - kind, attentive, very friendly. Watching the sunset from the roof terrace was a highlight.

Nestled in an olive grove in Imarigha, a village in the mountainous region between Marrakesh and Taroudant, Sel d Ailleurs, Atlas Mountain Retreat - adults only is a traditional Moroccan house with modern comforts.

Le Sel d'Ailleurs, just like its name implies, takes you away and somewhere else. This expansive property is located in the middle of the olive groves, next to the valley of Ouirgane. Located at a height of almost 1000 m, it enjoys a perfect mountain climate -not too hot and not too cold. Built and restored over twenty years by its owners, Sel d'AiIlleurs features free-standing traditional stone and adobe structures that house the rooms. To get to them, guests are invited to go across the olive, cactus and rose gardens that separate the main lodge from the rooms, which are surrounded by expansive jasmine bushes -charm and absolute calm and privacy are guaranteed, The pool is located at the end of the property, beyond the rooms and provides sweeping views of the valley and the high Atlas mountains beyond. Meals are taken in the main lodge which consists of three well appointed living rooms with a beautifully curated collection of furniture and pieces of art. The owners have created a unique modern space combining eclectic art with traditional Moroccan elements, vintage radios and furniture, and contemporary painting and photographs. Cozy and inviting places to enjoy a good read and a good drink. The dining room is located next door and dinners (included in the experience) are set menus based on the day's fresh ingredients and the chef's imagination. No two meals are alike and every little dish is a surprise which the chef will present and comment. The rooms are very large, featuring traditional building materials -rustic and cozy. Here again, the decoration is highly personal and cozy creating a warm and inviting atmosphere and restful nights. Sel d'Ailleurs is as an experience as well an exceptional stay that is further enhanced by extremely friendly staff and caring hosts. We will be back to further explore this beautiful area that a stone's throw from Marrakesh.

Honest Kiwi Review Mustapha is a great host and really made us feel at home, he has great English so communication was easy and he will help you with anything you need. The raid itself is really nice and a great spot to relax. There is a small walk from the car park but Mustapha and his staff will kindly help carry your bags. The food they prepare is delicious and breakfast was great. Overall great stay, would highly recommend for your stay in Ouirgane.

Amazing location, amazing value, incredibly friendly hosts. I would also like to commend the food, which was cheap (~5 dollars) and far better than anything we ate in Marrakesh. The reservoir is also pretty to walk around (although with trash along the edges, unfortunately like lots of Morrocco), and the areas are nice to explore walking and driving. Note that this area was devastated by an earthquake last year, so it's still common to see tents and temporary shelters along the roads. Being extra respectful of this can't hurt!

Beautiful scenery, fabulous walks on your doorstep. Just an hour and a half from Marrakech and it's like another world. Greenery, mountains, cool clean air. Very relaxing. And a charming swimming pool with shaded beds. It's a bit remote if you want a town or a variety of restaurants, but that's why you come here.

The location and grounds are exceptional. The garden is an inviting place to relax and rest. Ideal for anyone wanting to get away and completely unwind. The accommodation was comfortable and private. The hotel owners were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and the evening meal was a real treat and much thought had gone into the menu using fresh produce.

Awesome location, very peaceful and quiet. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is all very well maintained. The rooms are a bit old, but that makes it charming as well. There is a fireplace in the room which is set up while you're having dinner, the nights are chilly in December. Food in the restaurant is very good, we had the traditional tajines. Breakfast same quality.
