The lodge made us feel completely at home and went above and beyond what they had to do to make our stay an enjoyable one. The restaurant is good with different specials each day. Giannie, the host, was incredible. She took great care of us during our stay and then went above and beyond afterwards. We had mistakenly packed a couple of their towels which she came to collect from the next hotel we stayed at. She organized an airport transfer at a much better rate than our next hotel offered. When our next hotel couldn't arrange a babysitter she found one. And, lastly, when our son left his small suitcase in the taxi that we took to the airport, she arranged to get it back and hold it at Villa Vintana until we returned again. Gracious and cheerful from start to finish. The common areas are limited, but they make the best of them--some board games, games for the kids, TV and lounge area. And they organized tours at a much better rate than other hotels. Food and drink prices were also better value than other restaurants or hotels we went to.

we had a very large room right on the beach with a terrace with table and chairs and deck chairs! it was furnished and decorated with lovely African touches! the bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water and a fan! the whole property was kept spotless by the wonderful friendly staff! Patrique and his lovely wife and team were so welcoming and we felt right at home having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea. Patrique was so helpful with local information and any questions you may have. There is a kitchen to use which is well equipped and very clean too! There are a few eating options in the area and you are right in the little village too (but it is very quiet!) We did not want to leave but sometimes you just have to move on! A great budget option! Thank you Patrique and all at Villa Mena!
