My rating is relative to the price - we booked 2 rooms and got a whole apartment - with a terrasse on the second floor and the rooftop terrasse - with a fantastic view over the canyon and the waterfalls. Even though the hosts was busy - they were so kind and helpfull. A misunderstanding about the time for our guided tour, was immediately fixt by the host. We have also booked dinner at the place - and got a lovely traditional dinner, so we could try it. For the dinner, water and guided tour for 4 persons we payed 7600 mur to the host. I believe it is much cheaper than if we booked a tour online. The host can also help with guided tours to Le Morne. (You can find a drone footage of the area and the falls at youtube, that we made)

Great modern Bali style interior design, which I personally love compare to other properties around there. Pictures are true to what you’re getting! You get lot more than a hotel room, with mini-fridge and cutleries for the occasional snack in the room. Cute shared little garden for a morning coffee. Host was extremely accommodating and they helped out with any request I had. Reliable internet connection for Mauritius, it helped me go through hours long video conference calls. Parking is a few minutes down the road in a secured area. You’ll need to communicate and plan check-in / checkout, which is typical for individually owned properties. Overall this is great value for your money.

The hotel itself is located in Quatre Bornes, and it only takes you 20 minutes to get to Port Louis by the metro, which was just great for me as i had lots of appointments and other things to do in Port Louis. Sikamifer is much cheaper than any hotel in Port Louis and at the same time it happened to be absolutely nice and comfy place. THE STAFF!!! OMG! I was so glad that i chose Sikamifer, because every time i needed help (finding a place where i could get vaccinated with a specific vaccination for example), Jennifer (the wonderful lady from reception) was always there for me. The feeling of being a dear guest had never left me at that place. All the members of staff were always smiling at me making me feel precious. All the staff speak English which makes it much easier for the international travellers. But! If you feel like speaking French, good news, french is their native language! The hotel provides all the services one might need, such as meals, laundry, taxi, you name it. Yes, you name it and Jennifer will make it work for you. The prices are fairly low. The taxi service is provided by the hotel and it makes it cheaper. I tried to take the taxi in the city, and it's at least 20-25% more. Dear Sikamifer Tourist Resort, and especially Jennifer, THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for helping me with all those 10000 requests that i had for you every single day! You guys made my stay in Mauritius fabulous! Love You!

google maps showed the location is under 1.4km from Trianon convention centre where the venue took place.. we kept taking a taxi... its quit a distance. I loved the taxi organized by the hotel manager. Although pricey they were to the second on time. The hotel cook. very good. hotel comfort. very good. convenient to a number of nearby locations like bars, supermarkets, ATM, light train, buses. I dont remember asking for a quiet room. The place is humbly quiet. I am a NY city guy.. so a bit of noise is good. I had a group with me.. so okay.. I also liked the lift... good for pwds
